My name is Mohd Roslee Othman. I am an academic staff from the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). My interest is in teaching and research involving development and characterization of micro and mesoporous materials in the form of thin films, membranes or bulk solids. I seek to understand these materials and their functionalities for practical application in separation of fluids, gas enrichment, catalytic reactions in many processes including oil & gas processing.
These micro-porous materials have been researched for gas enrichment of carbon dioxide, methane, hydrogen and oxygen. They also have been used in the trans-esterification, fuel cell and fuel upgrading into higher octane gasoline. Exploration on the possible applications of these materials in environmental sustainability is also being pursued. I welcome you to explore the research together.
